Who am I?

I'm Alejandro Rodriguez Vazquez, a Sr Software Engineer mainly interested in javascript development, AI & a coffee lover.

With over 7 years of experience working in multicultural environments from small to big teams, from one location to multiple locations and time zones, I Initially started working in Mexico and recently relocated to the United States. Development has become my passion, and fortunately, it is my day-to-day job. I'm focused on the front-end side, but my experience also involves back-end development using javascript (Node js) and many other tools, programing languages, and frameworks. And outside of the formal work environment I'm an Artificial intelligence passionate currently experimenting around Tensorflow JS.

My work experience

May 2022 - currentSr Software Engineer

Design, implement, and document new software components using Javascript as the primary programming language but not limited to that, either for frontend and backend, mainly with React and NodeJS respectively, and coordination of new features in the entire cycle that involves other teammates based on user needs or improvements like time responses, security enhancements, context tracking, or loading strategies, among many other tasks.

July 2021 - January 2022Frontend Engineer

Development of modules, components, and new features for the new page of the global supply chain and migration of old pages to the new Architecture with React, reusing the design system library called Living Design.

May 2017 - June 2021Sr. Front end engineer

My work in Globant was divided mainly into two parts, my collaboration with Globant for interview new candidates, mentorship of new team members, and my participation with client projects the ones that I listed from 2017 to June 2021 (Backcountry, Lendingclub, Citibanamex).

Apr 2021 - June 2021Sr Frontend engineer

Creation of the Backcountry mobile application (Android and IOS) with React native using Ignite, the infinite red framework.

Apr 2017 - May 2019Tech Lead

Leading a team, working as one in an agile environment, creating a complete website from scratch for the process of the account opening and the marketplace products. We created the infrastructure using technologies like React and Redux using tools and code standards to have clean, readable, and maintainable code.

Jun 2016 - May 2017Javascript Full Stack developer

Full Stack developer javascript to build the website entirely from scratch with React and Redux. The Latin American version of the music streaming company. I was mainly involved in the development of payment methods, and the proposal of new strategies to increase the performance and usability of the page, like lazy loading and caching strategies.

Full Stack developer javascript to build the website entirely from scratch with React. The Latin American version of the streaming companies for video. We promote reusable components back then at the beginning of the React framework where I was mainly involved in the migration of the old page, and the proposal of new strategies to increase the performance of the page.

Open source contribuition

Translation from English to Spanish of the official docs of GatsbyJs, A project as a boilerplate to create progressive web apps with Gatsby Js, and small contributions on StackOverflow, and more in progress.
